Faith No More onthult meer informatie over nieuw album

Op dit moment legt de legendarische band Faith No More de laatste hand aan een nieuw studioalbum dat op 15 mei gaat uitkomen. Deze week maakte de band bekend dat het album zal ‘Sol Invictus’ gaan heten. Vorig jaar onthulde Faith No More ineens het nieuwe nummer ‘Motherfucker’. Het nummer was een speciale release op het Black Friday evenement van Record Store Day. Dit was het eerste nieuwe werk sinds eind jaren ’90. Het laatste studioalbum getiteld ‘Album of the Year’ kwam uit in 1997.

“What I can say is that I think through our experience as musicians over the years, I think what we’re doing reflects where we’ve gone since we made our last record as Faith No More. I think this kicks things up a notch,” verklaart Bill Gould in een recent Rolling Stone magazine interview. “And I think there’s parts that are very powerful and there’s parts that have a lot of “space.” Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it’s always going to sound like us. It’s just what we do, that makes us feel good.“

‘Sol Invictus’ is geproduceerd door Gould en is opgenomen in de studio van de band in Oakland, Californië.
